SOURCE: Bronco will not start. Battery will discharge.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Looks like everything has been replaced. This should be starting and running by now. I do suspect one thing why it would not start. The flywheel may have been worn out due to old age. One good reason why the battery drains out. The starter just slips on the flywheel that's why the engine won't turn.

Please have a good look on the flywheel and replace if necessary.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

SOURCE: new ignition switch, new starter, still wont crank. relays ok.

It sounds like the safety switch located on the top of your Brake pedal is broken or knocked out of place. This switch sends a signal when the brake pedal is pressed and often shows up by you having no Brake lights when the pedal is pressed and verifies a malfunction.

There are several coordinated alignments as the gearshift release is also part of the system. The brake pedal switch is a common problem.

Intermittently my 2009 kia optima will not start

I'm pretty sure that the charging system was checked by now & they should have checked it for an electrical short & the ignition system should have been checked. It may be an electrical short in the ignition system, bad/ erratic starter or relay. I advise u to get in touch w the dealer & inform them the problem is still happening & see what they have to say, or get a auto tech to check it & get a warrantee w the work. The dealer should be standing behind their work already. Good Luck. CALL BACK THAT DEALER, U PAID THEM TO FIX THIS PROBLEM ALREADY. Ive dealt w consumers for 21 years & auto repair.

I have a 1992 Ford F150 Straight 6 motor, 2 wheels drive, an it won't start. I have already put in a new solenoid, & starter.

try jumping the small wire on starter solenoid to 12volts , make sure vehicle is not in gear , park or nuetral only, if engine turns over power is not coming from ignition switch. if it does not turn over you have a power or ground problem on secondary circuit

My starter continues to run once the truck starts. Have replaced starter and selonoid already

Sounds like the ignition switch is hung in the start position, that would keep the starter spinning even after you release the switch. I would consider replacing the ignition switch. Look over on youtube for a how-to video. On a vehicle that old most likely not too difficult.

Get this repaired as soon as you can. You will destroy the starter, probably eat up your fly wheel and possibly start an electrical fire.

Replace the starter.

My car wants to keep starting even after turning the key off

solenoid may be sticking. Have someone start the car, if it sticks tap the solenoid with screw driver handle. If that stops the starter, replace the solenoid. If it were me, I wouldn't bother testing it and just replace solenoid.

I have changed the starter solinoid and now i dont

Make sure the starter relay is working properly. Check to see if you are getting power at the relay + cable. Then check to see if you are getting power from the relay to the starter, you may have to turn on the ignition or get someone to turn the switch over in start position. If you're getting power here, then your problem is elsewhere. Are you getting the car to start or just no electrical such as lights and etc?
