Question about 2007 BMW 530xi Sports Wagon
Hi all I have just done an oil service on my car and am trying to reset my service light using the posted methods but when I hold down the trip meter button down for the stated 5 seconds I only get the word "Test" displayed not "oil service, reset or re" not matter how many times i try.............Any ideas what i am doing wrong........regards Darren
Just ensuring that it doesnt have a under-bonnet diagnostic connector otherwise this method wont work.
This is how to reset the light.
Switch ignition off and press and hold the button (in between the fuel level and speedo) and at the same time turn the ignition to position 1. After 5 seconds the words OIL SERVICE or INSPECTION are shown together with the message "reset" or "re".
Release the button and press and hold it again for a further 5 seconds until the "resets" or "re" starts to flash. Release the button and press once for the last time. The new service interval mileage should now be displayed. Switch off ignition, job done!
Hope this helps!

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
