Remove hose . remove the thermostat housing. clean up the faces. place new thermostat in position with the body of the unit facing the water(Block or head) refit hose and refill with coolant. Let idle until warm water flows through the top radiator hose . check coolant level and add coolant until the radiator remains full. Coolant should be an ethelene glycol mixture of a minimum of 50/50 mix
