check with Cummins dealer on this but Cummins run combinations of filters so 2 filters on a 555 would not be unusual. As a point of interest the extra number of filters on a diesel allows for more oil to be circulated at a lesser speed so that the oil in the container of the filter is cooling better and this is good for the engine.

1998 Bonneville is not factory equipped with remote start. If it has an aftermarket remote start you must follow the instructions provided with the remote start system.

DONT SEE CODE 555 I SEE CODE 554 WHICH IS POWER STEERING PRESSURE SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT.

Remote start will work intermittently. have tried from 10 feet to 50 feet with same results. won't start. went to dealer they stated its because the range is not too high for the factory installed system....


Have you changed the battery in the remote?

Do so, then re-introduce the remote to the remote start system following the manufacturer's instructions, and the problem should be solved.

Remote start


first make sure you have the keyless start entry setup. if u do then you need to lock the door with the transmitter after you lock the door press the start button and hold it down until it starts. It usually takes three or four seconds.
