How to program FM radio from 70Mhz-90Mhz to more than 105Mhz

I bought a BMW E60 525i, built in 2004 for Japaness market. It equipped with FM radio which only cater from 76 Mhz to 90 Mhz. In Malaysia we have more than 100Mhz FM radio frequency. How can it be converted/set/program without replacing the radio?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: BMW radio on/off button broken

I have the exact same issue, with the same model and year! Did you find a solution to this problem? The dealership tells me the same thing- they have to replace the entire system, even though everything still works, just can't get the main power button to engage. Any advice appreciated!

I have a 2008 BMW X3 that has an annoying crackeling noise from the radio. It doesn't happen with the CD player only the radio. It is always present but most notable when a softer song is playing. When I...

Thats a very unprofessional attitude from a BMW dealer. The least they could have done was to try on your X3 a radio from another X3 and that way eliminate or not,if it your radio is faulty.I work at a Bmw dealer and thats the thing we would do.An issue like yours would not come up on the computer! If they checked all the aerial wiring from the radio to aerial and its ok,then its a faulty radio FM tuner.
Is your car still under warranty.Either way report the dealer to Bmw NA.

How do you expand the FM band on a 2001 X-type Jaguar radio

FM band expanders are available on eBay. They will expand the FM band from 76Mhz - 90Mhz range to the 88Mhz - 108Mhz frequency range. Try eBay Australia, under "FM expander".

They fit very simply inline on your antenna wire (plug inline) and there's only one wire to connect to 12V + power supply... very easy to DIY.

Have a car impoted from japan and need to know how to get local radio station frequencies like 93.7

You are going to have to buy a local radio from a junk yard or an after-market radio. The frequency range for broadcast radio is different in Japan than it is in the US (88 Mega Hertz to 108 Megahertz) in the US and 76 to 90 MHz in Japan. There is a device called a frequency range expander and you can find them on ebay sometimes but no assurances how well it will work.

Check out the website

it is how to get a japanese car working in the UK but you will get the idea.

FM Radio quit working

The only way to get the car out of transport mode is for the dealer to plug the car in to the main diagnostic terminal and download the software to activate all of the control modules. This has to be done to all new cars arriving from the factory.
As your car is a 1994 this reason is highly unlikely for the radio to off stopped working.
It sounds to me that the actual radio tuner has given up, in short you may need a new radio.
