How to restore maserati 3200gt from limp mode

I started the car using the emergency procedure and it seems to be in limp mode as it just throttles, it will not rev. Is it really in limp mode? Any ideas?

SOURCE: Replacing door mirror on Maserati 3200GT

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

SOURCE: what is the procedure to

Normally you can do a hard reset by disconnecting the negative battery ground...At times it will reset itself if it sets for a few minutes if their has not been a mechanical failure.You can also take both positve and neg terminals and touch them for 10 seconds that will clear the codes momentarily,but the CAN will restore them if the issue isnt fixed.

Signum 56plate 1.9tdci.it goes on limp.mode either after ticking over for 2 mins or just in the midle of driving..then i just need to flip the switch off..on. and its back running sweet for a few min

Because you mentioned tick over I am assuming this tends to happen as you change the position of the throttle which if electronic is a common cause of engine management light and limp mode.if you keep the throttle still whilst driving for any length of time ...you may again experience limp mode the minute you either slow or accelerate as the contacts in an electronic unit are intermittent.my cure is to switch off the engine and pump the throttle pedal hard all the way to the floor and releases several times .this seems to make the contacts connect more efficiently.if this is the culprit it may be worth replacing the throttle module.lastly any limp mode is always recorded on the ecu as an error code.if you want to get answers fast take it to a garage and have them OBD the car to confirm what's really going on.

My 2004 Xg350 is stuck in limp home mode.

code p1155 refers to electronic throttle system (ETS)- malfunction===causes --wiring--ETS limp home valve

code p1193 refers to ETS -limp home valve --on===causes --Low RPM
code p0302 refers to cylinder 2 misfire detected===causes--engine mechanical fault--wiring---ignition/ fuel system---injector---ECT/MAF sensor---ECM.
Pulling a battery lead to reset is a waste of time as it corrupts the CPU program. Use a code reader to reset . It is quicker and doesn't run the risk of program corruption

Engine codes are on 420, 2105, 2106, 606,

P0420 -- The ECM uses dual oxygen sensors to monitor the efficiency of the manifold catalytic converter (warm-up catalytic converter). By monitoring the oxygen storage capacity of a catalyst, its efficiency can be indirectly calculated. The upstream (front) HO2S is used to detect the amount of oxygen in the exhaust gas before it enters the catalytic converter. A low voltage indicates high oxygen contents (lean air mixture). A high voltage indicates low oxygen contents (rich air mixture). When the catalyst efficiency drops, no chemical reaction takes place. This means the concentration of oxygen will be the same at the rear as it is at the front. The output voltage of the rear HO2S copies the voltage of the front HO2S.To monitor the system, the lean-to-rich switches of the front HO2S to the rear HO2S is counted. The ratio of rear switches to front switches is used to determine whether the catalyst is operating properly. An effective catalyst will have fewer rear switches than front switches, that is, a ratio closer to zero. P2105 -- If a malfunction occurs in the Electronic Throttle Control(ETC) system, the ECM will control the engine from predetermined data stored in its memory or stop the engine if a safety problem is anticipated,as an Emergency Operation(Limp-Home)mode. The purpose of Limp-Home mode is to control the engine as close as possible to normal engine operation if a malfunction occurs. When the DTC related to ETC system is recorded by the ECM, then this DTC will be set. This DTC only indicates malfunction related to ETC system has occurred and engine is in Limp-Home mode. DO ALL REPAIRS associated malfunction with ETC system. I have a 2001 Saab 93 with a trouble code of P1251. Any idea of what that means?

Hello! The problem is that the Electronic Throttle Motor (ETM) is in limp mode...Most common fault is that the mechanism is fouled with carbon...But first check connector for loose or broken wires...It has a 10 pin connector...Remove and clean motor and throttle body using throttle body cleaner...See attached drawing...It is a procedure to take the motor out of limp mode...
