Disable 1998 dodge ram security system

Hi Connie, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Connie, you can't disable the security system because it is wired to other controllers like the engine controller and disabling it will cause the engine not to start and run. Go to my auto-repair-website below, click on 'Contact Us" and tell me exactly what is happening that the security system must be disabled. Don't worry the website and the help is free. Remote start

James;
You would need a Fortin int-bmw1 Interface Kit which Maintains the integrity of the
vehicle's security on push-to-start ignition systems also a Fortin EVO-CAN It is a
transponder bypass that will also allow you to control the electric door locks,
factory alarm, heated seats and other available options including a tachometer output.
Many makers IE: AUDIOVOX APS51, Avital 5303l, Scytek 5000rs,

Does anyone know how to bypass the security to install a command start on a 2004 Monte Carlo? What bypass do you ues, expresskit? Fortin?

This vehicle requires the use of a passlock 2 module for the VATS system.
Many companies make them.

Here is a Bulldog 791 bypass install instructions (they all work similarly)...
http://www.bulldogsecurity.com/pdf/Model791.pdf

But these modules tend to fail...
MAKE your own (more reliable one) for about $10 in parts.
See this link...

BTW:
Astrostart is the parent company of Command Start.

We put a bulldog remote starter in my 2005 chrysler town & country minivan, but when you hit the button it only starts the engine for about 2 seconds then quits. The engine light stays lit until you hit...

Since the vehicle come with the transponder key,(key with security chip inside)You will need to leave a transponder key in the vehicle as close to the ignition as possible(preferably in a hidden location)

Please rate this solution.
