Sprinter 316. How do I adjust clock?

The manual on the Sprinter (at least a recent one) can be found here (
http://assets.mbvans.com/Mercedes-Benz-Vans/Manuals/2016/2016-Sprinter-Owners-Manual.pdf ) If you slog through to page 166, the totally not-obvious clock setting method is outlined there. I hope that it's similar enough to your rig to get you through the process.

Good Luck!

Replace serpentine belt mercedes sprinter van 313 cdi

Hey Outbackski, its not really hard to do FIRST take a photo of how the belt is routed (lots of them ),you may see a diagram under hood ,and it should show you a tentioner pulley , that does all the adjustment for you , it will have a 3/8 -to 1/2 square hole in it put your ratchet in it and eather push or pull on it and you will see you have slack in belt, look very careful how it comes off ,and replace with new one, after you get the new one on ,and your back to the tentioner ,apply force on ratchet, and slip belt over itit might be tight but it will go on if you did it right.
good luck .

Serpentine belt tension

The belt is tensioned with a spring loaded pulley on an arm. To ID this part start the engine and watch the belt go around the pulleys, when you gun the engine the belt tensioner pulley will jitter to adjust the slack.

2003 Mercedes-benz Sprinter cdi 316 cuts out and doesn't start

Hi, My thoughts exactly ( fuel leak). Is this a deisel or gas engine?
In both cases be very careful with lights or cigarettes.
You can smell it when you get out of car in a garage or stall.
Good luck.

Is the tension pulley the one you adjust to put on serpentine belt.

Yes ! the tension/idler pulley can be loosened so that the main belt can be run over the pulley and then using a pipe you can hold the tension pulley to give the correct slack before it is tightenend.

Have a 1998 saturn sl1 stick shift with a loose serpentine belt. Can I tighten it myself and if so what kind of tool do i need

it has an automatic tensioner that tensions it no adjustment needed if it has slack either the tensioner is worn out or something else is broke.

!995 Ford Econoline 150 Serpentine belt would not fit

If you mean that when you adjust the tensioner to put the belt on, and you still don't have enough slack to get the belt on....try loosening the the alternator.

I HAVE A BAD ALTERNATOR AND KNOW i HAVE TO TAKE IT OFF AND REPLACE IT WHERE DO i START.

Removing the Old Alternator Step1 Pull your Mazda into the garage or your work area. Turn the car off and let it sit for a while to cool. Step2 Begin by disconnecting the negative cable of the battery. Step3 Remove the serpentine belt from the pulley on the alternator. Do this by using a socket wrench to turn the serpentine automatic belt tensioner so that it allows slack in the belt. Then simply slip the belt off the alternator pulley. Step4 Locate and disconnect all the mounting bolts on the alternator, use a vehicle specific manual if you have any trouble. Step5 Disconnect all wires attached to the alternator then remove the alternator from the Mazda. Installing the New Alternator Step1 Slide the new alternator into place. Do not worry about the serpentine belt yet. Step2 Replace the bolts that held the previous alternator to secure the new one in place. Step3 Attach the wires to the new alternator the same way they were attached to the old one. Step4 Adjust the serpentine belt tensioner the same direction you did in Section One to put slack in the belt. Wrap the belt around the pulley of the new alternator and then remove the socket wrench from the automatic belt tensioner. Step5 Inspect the belt to be sure it is not snug and follows the path required in the pulley and belt configuration diagram. Step6 Hook the negative battery wire back to the negative terminal on the battery.
