That and also maybe a vacuum leak will cause the O/D to click in and out. turn the O/D off and see if it happens when you go into high if not then look at a vacuum issue

My truck has kind of shutter to it upon acceleration then smooth out. Then at a steady speed between 45 to 50 mph bad shutter again. Cooler weather and cold start ups, speeds up and slows down when idiling...


it could be the coil pack, its one of the symptoms that can happen when they fail, if it has a crack or seal broken damp can get inside and cause it to not work properly.

I have replaced the transmission and replaced the engine already. When I reach the speed of 40 to 45 mph I get a shutter in overdrive only. I take it off o/d and never get the shutter. Once you reach 50...


Jack up each wheel individually just until you can spin the wheel. from a good view point spin the wheel and and watch the tread pattern, if you see an area where the treads veer off to the side suddenly then return on center, you've got a warped/ dislodged steel belt in the tire. This can also be felt at very low speeds like turning in a parking lot etc. Check all four wheels. If they are not defective then you'll need to have them spin balanced again.
