This is a car/truck site.. but I will try to answer this..most use gear oil on the track drive.. but the drives themselves are a hydraulic fluid ..there should be a reservoir that has capacities on it.. you may need to do an excavator website which this is not..and get your answers there..

What type and amount of compressor oil is required for 2000 silverado 4.8L a/c

No, it has the right oil in it. New and rebuilt compressor come with the right oil and the right amount. If it looks like some has leaked out, don't fret about it. As your system already has some in it. But if the plugs are off or missing, I would add about 2 OZ of oil. GM is a medium grade oil.

What is the A/C Compressor Oil Capacity in a 2002 Dodge Durango with the dual system?

The system oil capacity (Total- if all components replaced or flushed) is 10.0 oz. Manufacturer oil proceedure for the compressor alone is to drain and measure oil from the old compressor (make sure to turn shaft a few times to get it all out) and add the same amount of new oil to the new compressor. Chrysler says that you must use a sp15 PAG oil.
Note that you must flush the entire system when replacing the compressor in order for the warranty to be valid on the replacement part. Also require is the replacement of the drier assembly.
Have a great day!

What type of oil should i use for my 2005 kia sorento lx

the answer lies within your owners manual, do you have one? it will describe the grade and capacity of oil required-should be 5w30 4.5l pending on which engine. 2.0l engine=4.0l best bet is to start off with 3.5l of oil and check oil level on dipstick and top off accordingly.

Olio carrera 4s porsche

Usually the specs are located in the owners manual. It tells you the grade and amount of oil required on an oil change. If the specs are not in the owners manual, you can look at the oil fill port on the engine and normally has the recommended grade of oil. Otherwise, see if you can get your hands on a service manual. Steering gear fluid capacity and type of manual trasmission fluid?

Hello Dave,
I own a 1988 Ram 50 5-Standard and will go off my own experiences to answer this question.
I use a synthetic 80W transmission fluid.
If you know what is/was already in there; my recommendation is not to change the grade of oil in the transmission unless it is necessary because of driving conditions or vechicle requirements (i.e. towing/hauling/efficiency).
Anyway the Ram 50 Manual 4 & 5 Speed transmissions take a range of fluid grades from 70W-90W. You can use this in both conventional and synthetic oils.

For the power steering, universal power steering fluid works the best, and I honestly don't know the exact amount to put in Ram 50, but may I suggest you purchase ~20oz. Fill it half with half the bottle, then check the dipstick, then put in half of that half-bottle (a quarter of the bottle in), check, and repeat until you get it to the appropriate level.
