Question about 1993 Chevrolet C1500
The rebuilt tranny has 10,000 miles on it. When I bought the truck it had just been rebuilt and had 2,000 miles on it. At 4,ooo miles I had it serviced and the pan was spotlessly clean. Recently it started slipping every now and then. Tonight it quit shifting into overdrive. Supposedly when it was rebuilt the technician put in a shift kit and heavy-duty valve bodies. The 4.3 engine has 244,227 miles on it and it runs like a top. What do you think?
I never trust rebuilt trannies unless i rebuild them myslef....Beefing up valve bodies sometime leads to premature wear and tear...the kit could be malfuctioning aswell. Chefck fluids and replace the filter in it, if that doesnt fix it, then take it back to the tech, and demand free service :)
