I have a 2004 Toyota Camry XLE and the heated seat on the driver side stopped working. I had the fuse labeled for the heated seat (which I believe was 20a) and it was blown. The buttons for the heated...

Replace the fuse with one the same rating. If the seat now works.... smile. If the new fuse blows or the heat does not work you may have a short (or a broken wire) inside the seat that's causing the problem. It's an 11 year old seat.... tearing it apart to find the source may not be worth it.

Heated seats

could be that a separate fuse runs the element to heat the seat, or relay. try unplugging the connector under the seat and replug in to see if that fixes it. check for power at the feed side of the loom plug before you replug it to the seat .

Gmc jimmy heated seat not working on one side only.

Hello-
If your fuses are good, perhaps your heated seat switch is faulty. You can test the switch for connectivity using a meter to see if power is going through the switch when in the ON position. If the meter shows no power while in the ON position, replace the switch. If power is reaching the seat, then likely the heating element itself within the seat is the culprit.

Heated seats not working

Hi Jkelley, I'm glad to help!

After over 40 years in this business I've found that most, and I say most of the time when heated seats quit working its almost always the heated seat elements that go bad. J look and see if the switches light up when you turn the heated seats on. If they do that's is where I would start. If you remove the heated seat pad and its burnt then you know for sure that's the problem. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Jkelley.

Heated seats do not work

First off, I would contact your local Jeep dealer and have them run your VIN # to check for any recalls. The 1999-2004 Grand Cherokees had a recall on the seat heaters. If your vehicle doesn't fall into the VIN # range then either your seat heater switch has gone out, or you have a broken element in the seat heater. I have replaced more seat heaters than switchsm the elements heat up and break. Hope this helps out.

Best of luck

Driver's side power seat and heat in both seats not working

hello, have someone check all fuses-and plugs for the power seat, they may be a relay for this problem, can call autoparts store and ask about any relays for the heated seats and the power seat, if thats not it you may have to replace, electric motor for seat, sounds like a fuse, the way it all quit working..

My power seat stopped working in my 2003 Yukon XL. The heated seats stopped working as well.

Try this remove the ckt breaker for the power seats the ckt breaker is located in the fuse box inside down by the drivers left foot. leave breaker out for about 10 seconds then reinstall it and see if the seat starts moving. If it does there is a reprogram for this and needs to be done by a dealer or someone who has access to be able to reprogram your vech.
several things could cause your heated seats to not work. If the seat and heated seat seat stopped at the same time could be the reprogram could fix it. If the heated seat quit working at a differant time it could be the seat heater element. get a schematic of the heated seat and ohm the wires for the element. If either element tests open then the element will need to be replaced. You might as well replace both of them at the same time since the seat covers have to come off to replace the seat heaters.(back and bottom ) If one element is bad then both heaters quit working.

FRONT HEATED SEATS

you need to check the resistance in each of the heated seat elements in the seat. There's a two wire connector under the back of each front seat. The connector should be green. disconnect it and measure the resistance along the circuit going into the seat. if it isnt .1 - .3 ohms, replace the appropriate heated seat element

Heated leather seats will not heat up. Switch lights up and all fuses are okay. Is there a hiddedn relay I am not finding? Is there a quick way to determine if the problem is in the heating element under...

are you saying neither the heated seat cushion nor heated seated back on either seat works? But the light or lights does work?

Please rate as solved if this helps you. It took some time to dig all this stuff up. Please report progress.

Here's some info to start you off:

  • The heated seat is inoperative — seat does not heat but the heated seat switch illuminates when pressed
  • Circuitry.
  • Heated seat module.
  • Seat heater and temperature sensor.
  • Seat back heater.
  • Heated seat switch.

Buick Lesabre Heated Seats not working

The problem is most likely caused by shorted heating grids in the seat cushion itself, kind of like the heating element in an electric blanket, very expensive to replace.
