the fuse keeps blowing because u have shorted to chassis wiring harness problem, u will need to get this to a dealer for proper diagnosis, don't wait until u get run into and injured from no brake lights, if there were a magic bullet fix for this I would give it to u.

Check the wiring. Using a multimeter in ohms to see where its grounding out. If the wiring is not the problem check the turn signal switch. The turn signals and brake lights are wired together when you hit the brakes and use the left or right turn signal it should cancel out by using the turn signal switch. There is also a switch that the brake pedal touches when brakes are applied check the switch to make sure its not faulty. This can also be the problem. I had a early 90's model accord had the same problem.

Let me know if i was any help

1998 buick park avenue keeps blowing the stop lamp fuse, cant figure out why.

Yes. Thus is a short. Check the switch wiring and bulbs. Does the car have a trailer hitch with trailer wiring. Those are a common source of shorts.

No idea. Maybe it is telling you to STOP replacing the fuse. Just kidding as I would have to look into it but not working at the shop today as it is Sunday.

Ford explorer fuses keeps popping for brake switch

To start with, it is impossible to look the wiring diagrams up or check to see what circuits the fuse protects if you do not mention WHICH fuse is blowing. It would also be very helpful to mention WHICH ENGINE and what type of TRANSMISSION your truck is equipped with because the wiring diagrams are different.

Also, WHAT grounds have continuity? Continuity to WHAT??? If you are trying to fix a fuse that keeps blowing, WHY are you checking GROUNDS??? Why do you have the brake switch off? It is not necessary to remove the brake switch to see if it is working.

I have no idea what "hot" you are talking about. The hot from the brake pedal switch? The two wires on the brake pedal switch on a 2000 Ford Explorer are LIGHT GREEN and LIGHT GREEN/RED...I have no clue what "blacks" you are talking about.

Try to make a little sense here and I will see if I can help you.

Door ajar light is on when all doors are shut, fuel guage reads empty and dummy light is on saying get gas, all lights in the rear do not work i.e. brake, running, reverse, blinker, hazards. 15 amp fuse...

your stop light switch is broken and shorting out hence it will not start in park ,or you have a fitted the wrong bulb in one of the back lights like a twin connector bulb in place of a single or visa versa ,which is blowing the stop light fuse ,with this fuse blown your stop light switch isnt working hence you cannot get it out of park .also flasher could be using the same fuse as the stop lights .side lights should work but if wiring is being shorted out then anything is possible

95 gmc jimmie, 4x4, everytime i use my brake pedal, a fuse blows, i have no brake lights, hazard or signal lights. how do i fix it my mom broke off the hazard button in the steerin column so i used a stick...

consider properly repairing the hazard light switch via junkyard parts for a cheap price. You invariably have a short that overloads the fuse when you activate the brake lights via pressing on the brakes.

good luck

No brake lights, fuses keep blowing and wont shift out of park

I would look for a wiring short in the trunk at the taillamp area, or, inspect the sockets for the taillamp bulbs for corrosion. In any case, you have a short circuit in the trunk area, also check the wire that comes from the body & goes up the trunk hinge on the driver side; that wire may be chafed, and it may be shorting out. Hope this helps; please get back to me if you need any further assistance.

Brake lights and crusie don't work

1ST THING TO CHECK IS THE STOP LAMP FUSE . FUSES LOCATED LH SIDE UNDER HOOD. THIS FUSE ALSO POWERS THE ACC. CIRCUT IN TRUCK. ALOT OF TIMES, LAP TOPS, DVD PLAYERS ETC. OVERLOAD CIRCUT & FUSE BLOWS.
