You have to remove the transmission pan from underneath no ez way to do it but slowly remove the blots and get reddy for the red flood. the fuild will poor out fast once its drained remove the rest of the pan and replace the old filter with a new along with a new gasket then clean the contact rimm, and put gasket on and screw bolts bac k in in a unicein pattern wach how t igh you tighten them, Not sure on the torque setting for them no more than 20lbs i would think not sure though...just dont over tighten them

Look on the top of the trannie or on the lower rear upper flat. look for a plug that sits flush with the trannie, if no dipstick is present on all 4 sides of the motor, (they like to hide in the back under intakes and exhaust mani's) then the plug has to be on t he upperpart of the trannie, you 'll need a long funnel, and needle nose pliers to remove it , should be twist off, try twisting first then give'r a tug...I dont know why they make things so complicated these days...

You will have to take bolts out of tranny pan to drain fluid unless you siphon it out or it is equipped with a drain plug

needs trany work, when a tranny is low on fluid it will not shift into high gears. For some reason your transmission is not properly lubracating.

00' Kia Sephia LS not shifting past 1st gear

first you need to buy transmission fluid new filter and new gasket.you need 11.4 pints of transmision fluid.raise front of vechicle.set parking brake.block both back wheels.besure support vechicle weight with jack stands. get a drain pan.if your transmission pan dont have a drain plug.loosen rear pan bolts a few turns.remove the front and side transmission pan bolts. let fluid drain.remove tranny pan. then clean old gasket material from transmission and pan carefully.dont scratch or damage surface.clean old tranny bolts using brake cleaner or buy new tranny bolts.you have to put a tiny film of rtv silicone on tranny bolts so they wont leak.carefully remove old tranny filter and put on new filter.clean all grease grim away from tranny pan it should be **** and span because.you might need a little gasket adhesive to hold gasket in place while putting pan back on transmission.to line up bolt holes.loosely put all bolts in you have to move pan a little to get holes line up.when all is finish put tranny fluid back in.besure you put 11.4 pints back in that about 6.5 quarts. make sure tranny fluid level is right before driving vechicle.l

Change the fluid. Since you only get about half of the fluid to drain during a change (the rest is held in the torque converter with no way to drain it), you will have to change the fluid three times in order to dilute the "dirty" fluid with enough clean fluid to make the end product mostly clean. Change the fluid, then run the car for awhile. Repeat two more times. And only use Honda fluid.
