Also called a "brake proportioning vale". It regulates (proportions) brake fluid pressure between front and rear wheels during braking.

Brake light on 1993 Chevy K1500 Blazer?

If the ABS light is not on, there are no codes to read.
If just the red brake warning light is on, either the equalizer valve has failed, the fluid level is low, or the parking brake is on.
Or one of those sensors has failed.
Your model may not have the equalizer valve tied into the warning light.

Brake fluid is full, no leaks, parking brake is not engaged but light stays on

There may be a switch on the equalizer valve. This is the valve that equalizes pressure to the 4 wheels.
The valve may be sticking or the switch may be faulty.
If the ABS is the problem, there should be a code stored in the body computer.

I need to know if a brake line Junction Block is the same as a proportioning valve?

no a brake line junction block will give all of the brakes equal pressure and wear the back brakes out faster then the front if your car is not made for it a proportioning valve monitors the pressure on each brake and distributes it accordingly

Fill up the master cylinder and bleed them again all four wheels you might have got air in the brake lines from letting the master getting to low on brake fluid. and check the equalizer valve.

The left rear brake caliper on my 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII doesn't get as much pressure as the other 3 wheels which makes the car pull to the right when you put on the brakes.I have replaced the rotors,...

On most cars, the pressure equalizer valve is located on a terminal block near the lower part of the front of the car.
The terminal block, or manifold, is usually made of aluminum, and has many brake lines attached to it.
It may be hidden from view behind a metal or plastic panel.
I should like to tell you that replacing it will solve your problem, but please do not count on this.
If you have the option, you might ask an honest person at a Lincoln dealership parts department how many pressure equalizer valves they have sold in the last year.
Don't be surprised if he or she says "none".
God bless your efforts.

1991 dodge brake problems

Its called a metering valve. Its located to the side of the master cylinder. To check this valve start engine and have someone to press down on brake pedal several times. Look at the metering valve and you will see a small black button on the front of the combination valve. If the valve is working correctly, the stem will extend and retract each time the brake pedal is depressed and released. If not then replace the combination valve. Hope thius will help you.

Pontiac G6 read disk brakes not showing any wear, emergency brake is being used.

Proportioning valve is not centered and the rear brakes are not functioning. To correct..... have someone apply hard brake pressure on pedal and some else crack open the bleeder screw on the a frontwheel. A click can beheard. the bleeder must be oened and clsed quickly. Follow the brake line s from the brake master cyl and you will be led to the proportioning valve. There is a pin sting out of both ends. They must be equally extended out on bot ends. Good Luck, Ned
