There are drain pipes in the corners around the sunroof.
with the sunroof open pour some water into the channell to see if they are blocked

SOURCE: DOOR WON'T OPEN FROM INSIDE OF NISSAN ALTIMA 2002 ON DRIVER'S SIDE

There is a cable that attaches to the inside door latch release handle. The plastic that retains this cable is most likely broken. I have seen this before. If the retainer is not holding the cable sheath correctly, the entire cable moves when the handle is pulled and does not release the door latch.

Remove the door panel and inspect this cable. You will see 2 cables (one is for the door lock). If the plastic is broken, you will need a new interior handle assembly.

Hope this is helpful!!

SOURCE: How do I change the passenger side headlight bulb on 2001 Altima

Open up the hood, and go in behind the fixture where the light is located. Sometimes there is an access panel on top. Open it and reach down inside and grab the bulb’s socket. Twist the socket a quarter turn counter clockwise, and pull out the socket. Grab the bulb, and pull it straight out. To replace the new bulb, never touch it with your bare fingers, as this will greatly shorten the bulb's life, if it even work's at all. Use a tissue or something else in that order to handle the new bulb. Push the new bulb into the socket, put the socket back into the housing, and twist a quarter turn clockwise to secure the socket into the fix.Seems that you have to remove the coolant bottle(two screws), and also the unscrew the washer fluid bottle, after that you can reach the socket that holds the bulb. There is a wire that holds the bulb in. if you loosen the screw you can tip up the wire and be careful to leave it in place...also the long side of the wire seems to connect to ground wire for the light...

What causes a 2012 nissan altima to have standing water in driver side?

If you have a sunroof check the drain located at the frt corner of the opening. Open the sunroof, pour some water into the rain channel near the drivers side frt corner, should drain out. If not, blow some air (everybody has an air compressor, right?) through the drain port.

My bmw 5 series has water on the passenger side floor

Could be coming from sunroof drip rails. Check the bmw 5 series forum on line for more info. That's if you have a sunroof. If not heater core suspect.

I think my water pump is leaking on my 98 nissan altima

Very possible. The water pump will be run by the timing belt behind the engine cover and on the same side of the motor as all your external belts. Make sure there are no hoses close by that could be leaking and if not it will probly be the water pump. Usually they will make a noise when they are failing. Remeber if it is just a drip and it is hot outside if you run your air conditioning it will drip water from the condenser as well.

Water on floorboard passenger side on 2005 chevrolet equinox. This started happening after my car's air conditioning was fixed. (A new compressor to replace the old leaking one, and all of the other parts...

The quick test is to run car with the a/c on in your driveway and check to see if it is dripping water on the ground under the vehicle at the passenger side as that's the side the drain tube is on. If it is then odds are it's not the problem but, just to be sure, at the same time you can pull the carpet back a bit on the passenger side and look to see if any water is dripping out of the heater a/c housing. The other part of the test is to have someone sit inside the vehicle [engine not running] and pour water all around the edges of the windshield on the passenger side first then slowly work up to the sunroof. At some point you should find your leak. I see a lot of leaky windshields that's why I would advise you to start there first. Make sure whoever is in the vehicle is watching down by the front of the floor for any water trickling in as that's usually where you'll find it. If just the compressor and related underhood parts were replaced it shouldn't affect the drain on the evaporator core. Hope this helps you solve the mystery!

I've got a 2006 Saturn Vue that keeps getting water in the front, under the floor mats. It appears to be coming from the center underneath and behind the instrument cluster/center console. Could this be...

The most common source of water on the floor is a plugged a/c evaporator case drain hose. This drain is generally located down low on the engine side of the firewall at the passenger side and is usually a small short open ended hose that points down. Debris and bugs will clog this hose which makes the water that condenses on the evaporator [whenever the a/c is on] overflow and leak out of the heater/air conditioning housing and onto the floor. If it hasn't rained for some time yet you are still getting water on the floor I would bet on this hose being plugged. A puff of compressed air is enough to clean most of them out. Most sunroofs have one or two small drain holes that allow water to run down through the door pillars and onto the ground. If you pour a small amount of water around the top edges of the sunroof when it is closed you should soon see water dripping onto the ground under the outer edge of the vehicle. A few sunroofs just rely on tight weather stripping to keep the water out but those usually drip water on the driver or passenger if they are leaking. I see a lot of leaky windshields but again, it has to be raining for water to get on the floor from them.
