No crank?
here they are.

battery dead
battery lugs corroded.
fuse blown.
is the CHECK engine lamp glowing> key on?
are all dash idiot lamps glowing key on , showing 12vdc power is good?
or are they dim>?
is car a A'T or M/T auto or stick?
if auto, wiggle the gear shifter, cranking,
if Stick wiggle the clutch, cranking.
got a volt meter?. is battery at 12.6v ?

if battery is good, hot wire the solenoid
crank now? yes, then key line is dead.
if not, the starter, battery or cables are bad.

try jump starting it. if that works the battery was
1; bad.
2; not charged, and ALTenator system is bad. note i said system.

SOURCE: 1995 suzuki sidekick 16 valve

Check throtle position sensor... one section closes a set of contacts when you take your foot off the accelerator... this is sent back to the engine control computer which adjust the timing to insure the engine stays @ ~ 800 rpm. It's easy to set with just a simple multimeter...

SOURCE: suzuki sidekick wont start... has

ah ha.. you have the same problem i have.. and it was posted in december which reaferms it lol.. was it really cold out? and was it a standerd? sounds like it if you bomb started it.. but.. anywho.. i found that placing a heater in the cab.. just a lil space heater solved the problem.. mine only does it when it is really cold out side and hence inside the cab.. there is a switch on your clutch that will not let you start it unless the clutch is pushed in to the floor.. i found that this switch does not tend to wanna start when cold.. if it was your starter, changing position on the fly wheel. eg trying to force the drive train to move.. would cause your starter to catch.. not work then not work at all then work.. try that.. cheep fix compared to a starter

SOURCE: 1995 suzuki sidekick how to replace fuel pressure

you need to have the Engine Coolant Temperature switch checked, since the computer relies solely on sensors, the ect tells the computer how cold or hot it is so the computer will make it a rich or lean mixture to start the engine,if it tells the computer that it is 75 degrees the computer will lean the mixture like starting a car in the winter without a choke.

I have a 1995 sidekick ventra it wont go into gear

is it a Vitara or a Sidekick
Sidekick is USA /Canada, Vitara is rest of world name for same car. as is Geo Tracker.(usa/can)
5sp, just sold 3 like that....
my guess, is car will not crank and start in gear?
with clutch to the floor ,? and car ties to move, doing so?
that is the cable bad, a $25 part. and very comon failure.
or does wont go mean exactly that. the shifter gets netural
for all gears. that is bad shifter parts a $5 fix.
means car starts in gear, but will not move ever.
that means a false neutral, is selected.

link to cable cause. (sold in all stores)"auto"

link to , shifter, $5 plastic failure.
same page, top click part 27 bad.
only suzuki (defunct in USA) sells it.

Engine wont start but has power

If it will not crank you would need to check for voltage at the starter and from there to the key switch.
If it will crank but not start, you would need to check fuel pressure and for spark at the plugs to proceed.

My sidekick will turn over and just wont start, we supplied power directly to the fuel pump and it would run but there is no power going to the pump all fuses are good.

some of the european suzukis had 2 small wires on the starter motor solenoid.
one of these was the trigger from the ignition switch, but the other supplies power to the ignition electrics (fuel pump and coil) when the ignition is in the start position.
if the second wire is loose or broken it will cause the problem you are describing

My 95 suzuki sidekick was runing and just stoped it wont turn over any more the engain is not locked up when i jump started it, it has no spark could it be a neutral switch or a wirering problem

There is a fuse on the battery terminal. It seems that this particular fuse has blown. Please replace this fuse. This fuse is like a master switch. Cuts off all electricity circuits.

I have a 1995 suzuki sidekick when idling, the rpms on the gauge were going up and down

That would be normal. I slight variation in speed is a normal thing. If it's more than 50 rpm, you've got some other problem.
