Question about Cars & Trucks
The battery has been replaced. The check engine light has always been, but in the past the garages have managed to get it off and inspected. This time the garage told me there is 3 codes that came up, they said they have been trying to pass it without having to put to much money in it, but there labor hours are putting in enough. Can someone please help me out?.. give me any tips or something so I can get my car inspected soon.
Yes, fix it.
When the check engine light is on it's in limp home mode. Means it goes to set values and runs poorly...
also, check local/state laws. they may have a grandfather clause that states after you invest a certain amount of money, they will pass it...
