SOURCE: How do I a program a press button key to my 2011 mitubishi outlander sport key

On a Ford or a Chevy it's a sequence of turning the key on and off, without completely starting the vehicle, after the 5th or 6th turn the doors will auto lock, then you take out the key press unlock with key and it's programmed, not sure about a Mitubishi so you will have to contact a dealership with service station to get the exact correct sequence for your key...

check to see if the faulty key can be reprogrammed to the immobiliser in the car as that section of the transmission signal may be faulty or corrupted.

When replacing the engine control module of a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander, do you have to get a matching key and transponder to make the replacement control module work? Thanks

Normally all you have to do is have the car and the key at the one place and with the computer that the dealer, has the key can be reprogrammed to the ECM/immobiliser. The same as if you loose a key ,buy a new one and have it programmed to the existing ECM

Ford focus 2000 died and wouldnt restart for 10-15 mins after wards

It shouldn't matter if the key is the original or not it has been programmed to the car immobiliser, have you changed the batteries in the key, a low battery can cause the key and immobiliser not to communicate, did you take it to a ford garage, Main dealers are always the best to deal with especially when ECU and immobilisers are involved, there may even be a software update for your car that addresses this issue, may even need a new key but they are expensive, don't buy off eBay they won't work, hope this helps

check the condition of the key battery as it may be low in cold weather and not communicating properly with the immobiliser.. I suggest this because batteries generally fail more often in cold weather compared to warmer climates.

Don't even try adjust or open the unit. Call the dealer or take it back to him or you will invalidate your warranty and that is not worth it. Let the dealer worry about it.

Car alarm doesn't make any sound when activated or deactivated

WHY BOTHER!!!!!, what use are car alarms anyway,...everyone ignores them or yells at you to turn it off because it is waking up the baby at night....it has a fabulous immobiliser anyway, plus you can't start it without the key as the ignition key has a microchip that talks to the car's computer...If all else fails, and you are worried about the contents of your vehicle,...put an angry rattlesnake in your car....
