unplug the radio harness and try the dash lights. if they work, then there is a wire that is connected incorrectly. sometimes the harness has an illumination wire that can cause problems like this.

I've asked this earlier but not sure if it went in I have a 2005 Suzuki Verona the radio works but no lights on the radio what would cause this issue

the dash has a dimmer, this is dash park lights
and runs all radio back lights.
so if the dial is low, its dark
if the dash cluster glows good the dimmer is ok
and the wire to the radio called, dial

on after market radios its the orange wire. not 12v, its dead.

suzuki uses different colors.
turn on parks, with a voltmeter measure 12vdc at DIAL wire.
at radio.
0v bad, 12v good, if 12v then radio lamps are Blown out.

99 honda accord no dash or tail lights

look for a "small light" fuse in the fuse box under your hood.
You probably shorted something while installing the radio. If it continues to blow the fuse, you need to pull the radio out and check your wiring.

Undo what you have done as you have wired into the CPU system and it is sending the program haywire.. Seek help from professional radio installers as it is not a matter of just wiring in any where

No dash lights or tail lights on my 1994 honda accord ex

I have right now the same problem. I just pulled the fancy/shmancy radio head out of my (Honda) 1992 Acura Integra and the whole dash is now a mess. It had been professionally installed. The dome light now doesn't work, the "door open" warning lights stay on, the clock is messed up, etc.
I installed the fancy head in another car, in a 1992 Honda Civic. That works perfectly. Sounds like you need to find a professional installer to re-do your new head.
I think the dash lights and the taillights are on the same circuit/fuse.

Dash lights off in 2000 Alero

Loose wires are the hardest things to fix as even the best most experience mechanics don't like doingf them unless theirs a nice fat payment involved then its yah man I'll tak this time and materil fix till you find open check book job !!! No something like the bulb thats in the shifter ( console ) Door switches remote mirror or power window or lock switch If they don't work maybe their brocken wire is touching gronfd sometimes. If the lights in the door or shifer dontwork the door hinge area is suspect as the wires flex as the door is opened and closed the wire is the same color as it goes to all of these lights rember too that theres a wire in the radio too and if the car has an after market radio in it its the first place to cheack as the installers cause this problem way more often than the car wearing out does. remove and unplugg the radio if after market and root around in there to see if any one laid out hte wire bare and nort hooked up or taped. Many after market radios light as their turned on and dont use this wire but the factory radio does. Another car questioner didn't tell everything thats wrong to save for another question When I found out later the other things they had worked on and still were having troble with I could then figger out the real problem as I've seen so many and heard about em all. All problems effect other things therefore all problems or repairs halfway done or done too cheaply come into the picture Like your problem you might come back and say the power antenna has been broken Will it make the dash lights ficcker Yes. the tail light or front parking light or marker lite is busted bad gone or hanging under the car or just plain gone will thesthtings make the dash lights filcker? Yes

No dash lights or rear tail lights

Often stereos have a dash light feed to dim the display when the park/head lights are switched on. I suspect this wire may have been shorted during installation, causing a fuse to blow. Are you certain that the fuse for the park light circuit is intact? I know you have checked them all, but I have overlooked blown fuses in the past, easy enough to do. The best way is to use a test light with the ground clip to a good earth point, and probe both sides of the fuses (ignition key on, park lights on) to see if the test light lights up. If it only light up on one side of the fuse, it's blown.

Hope this helps.

Thermostat lights wont come on

Check the in dash lights to see if they are burnt out or you have a bad connection or bad wire. this could be do to having an after market sound system.I had similar problems with a 97 Plymouth Breeze i.e. loose connection.

New radio installed - now dash lights don't work

Most factory stereos are wired to the dash dimmer switch. Usually if the dash lights go out after an after market stereo installation, it is because the wire that originally went to the factory stereo is not used for after market stereos. Double check the fuses and ensure the wire that controlled the lights on the factory stereo is not grounding out on something.
