Hello Shirley, You have to tell me what kind of bed. Truck? What year? What kind of cover? The shock might pop right back onto that little ball connector that it popped off of... or did it break off?

Brake line leaks above the gas tank-is there any easy way to fix this

Easy? No. Easier, yes. Remove truck bed bolts (~4-6, not hard to remove), raise bed by blocking bed up with 4x4 or 6x6 wood blocks. Access brake lines, fuel pump, etc. I lifted mine by myself to replace a fuel pump. I may have learned about tip on fixya long ago myself.

Lost my keys to my 1996 probe 24v, locksmith that came may as well stayed in bed. how can i find out my key code?

Unfortunetly you will have to get the car to a dealership. They can cut a key, but it will have to be programmed to the car. Both have to be there.

Colorado: how to remove tail light lens cover? the two screw's (tailgate area), then... Thanks, GD

There are two metal pins in the taillight housing that push into some plastic clips on the outboard side of the truck bed. Gently place a flat blade screwdriver between the bed and the plastic housing and pry rearward to get the clips to release. You may want to put a rag over the end of the screwdriver to help avoid scratching the paint on the bed. To reinstall, line up the pins with the clips and "thump" the housing assembly wih your hand.

I dont know how to lower the spare tire

There is a cover in the back by the licence plate, open it and put your truck key in the slot, then put the stright pieces of steal that came in the kit( side of bed) together, and you will need to crank the spare wheel down. Hope this helps

Stuck tailgate

(mine is 2000 model, 2500 mid trim level, long bed)My tailgate's handle lost an interior piece that connected it to the rod on the left side (one on each side) and made the gate stick.  Until I replaced the handle I had to reach my fingers into the area past the handle and pull that rod to get it open each time.  The handle still operated the right side, so I'm not sure what to do if both sides are in trouble.
You have to remove the cover from the handle to access the inside.
Hope this works for you Send me an email from the address on if you need to (our restaurant).
