Question about 2003 Toyota 4Runner
Hi there. the abs is a very complex system and is not something that
can be done. on a diy basis. there is to much to it. sensors valves.
and electrics. you could spend weeks even months and get nowhere.

There is a possibility that the rotors are warped and need either turned or need new ones. If ABS is acting up it could effect the pedal movement too but usually more drastic movement. Only other way to know is have a good mechanic run the scanner checking brakes on the run.

That year Aerostar only came with rear abs. It uses a single sensor located on the top of the rear differential. Check that sensor for resistance and the connector for corrosion. If it checks out good make sure the wiring to the sensor is in tact. If that all checks out more than likely it's the RABS valve under the vehicle on the drivers side.
