The same thing happened to me with the same car and model, the dealer gave me 1111 for the code which didn't work. I ended up calling the Kia Costumer service (1-800-333-4542). They gave me the right code after I gave them the VIN number.
To get rid of the "Hold" code, leave the radio on for more than an hour and the "Code" sign will come back up.

I put a radio code in my 2002 kia sedona and now its saying hold and wont come on

When you see the stereo in the "HOLD" mode, you will want to enter the typical default code for the universe and everything in it.....and that code is 1111
Each button 1 through 4 for the presets on your stereo will get used to enter that code.
press 1 on your presets first
1_ _ _
if you press it twice the first # in the code will go to 2..and so on..keep pressing until it comes back to 1
press 2 on your presets
11_ _
press 3 on your presets
111 _
and so on......................
Hopefully this anyone who was searching for Radio Code for 2002 Kia Sedona helps out!!

I have a stock radio from a 1995 Kia Sephia, a kia logic control. I have the code to use, but when I do what the manual says the radio comes up with HOLD.

Good day and welcome to FixYa!
The radio has it's own memory which is powered by the car's battery. I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and leave it for atleast a minute then put it back on. This will reset the stereo system. Try punching in the code again.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

97 S90 Volvo with original radio per Previous owner. Radio worked before Battery replaced. Called dealer and Got code, put it in and got rpt message. Several attempts- still no Working radio! HELP...

ok rpt stands for repeat. when it says that it is the wrong code that you are putting in. you only get three trys on this. after the third time it will say off. you must wait 2 hrs with the stereo on until you can try putting a code in. you need to find the right code for that stereo.inside your manual book there should be a credit card size card that has a four digit code on it. that is your stereo code. put that in and your stereo should be up in running. good luck

How to enter radio code 2002 boxster

You will need the code in the Porsche user manual packet. There is a card called the Radio Code Card inside a window on the inside of the cover flap. Using the numbered keys along the bottom of the stereo screen, enter those four digits. If you get it wrong, it prompts you for the code again. If you get it wrong three times, you have to wait an hour before trying again.

If you don't have the code from the manual, I would suggest contacting your nearest dealer about resetting the code.

I put a new car stereo and system in my car. Now the parking lights won't turn off. Is this a security mode on the car? Or is it from the wiring? It is a 2006 Kia Spectra EX.

Usually the brown wire is for illumination. If you have supplied power to this wire some how it will keep these lights on. If you got wiring schematics with the stereo recheck your work.

Car stereo code its a bose.

I did the same thing, still got the code, but I have been told by acura mechanics it is in 1 of 3 places if not on some old paper work. 1. check the side of the glove box, should say RC then 5 digits, 2. under your fuse box under the hood, if all else fails what you need to do is take out your stereo and get the seriial number and call the dealership for the code. Radio shack will do it for 40 bucks

If this stereo is a clarion and original equipment and uses a a four digit code. First thing you do is with the power on to the radio, push and hold the band button for a few seconds until you see the word "code" on the radio display. Input the code and radio should work. If that doesn't work, then if you have tried to input a wrong code several times then radio will lock out. So what you need to do is
the radio has to be on for one hour uninterrupted, then you can do the band button procedure , code input again and hopefully the radio goes on. Hopefully this helps. Please advise results
