Why will my Mercury Mountaineer only travel 10mph

Failed Ignition Coils & cylinder misfires

Have you not checked for codes?

Pretty soon the new converters will fail

The bad coils spike the pcm drivers & you
loose tps signal & thus go into failsafe &
6 to 10 mph

Someone worked on it & has little knowledge
about Fords, never did the requires testing or
used the scan tool data or possibly never road
tested,happens all the time.

GMC JIMMY 1996, 4.3L. is running very poorly with very little power, catalatic converter was completly plugged, I removed it and gutted it and replaced the muffler and it stll runs the same, no power.

The cat being plugged was a symptom of the problem not the problem. Replace the cat and perform a full diagnostic on the engine. Check compression to start.

I've gutted all my catalytic converters and car still wont accelerate smoothly or go over 80 mph

gutting the cat converters was not a smart thing to do
the ECM needs feed back from the sensors to regulate the air/fuel mixture and now you expect it to do the job with half the sensors removed
like trying to brush your teeth with no hands
replace the cat converters with new ones then run the fault codes to really find the problem area

My ford 2002 f-150 4x4 just died on me, yesterday. It turns over and seems to be getting gas to the motor. I checked the valve that looks like a valve stem on throttle body and gas pumps out of it.

check catalatic converter. If converter is clogged it will either only run at low idle or not run at all. quickest way to test is to remove egr valve, plug intake port and start truck. if it starts change converter.

First check all wires for any thing loose.
The muffler blowing up leads me to think the engine is so far out of time the PCM cant correct it.

REally you need to get it to a good mechanic.
