I installed a dual Bluetooth stereo system in my 2002 pontiac montana I installed the radio pro 5 I have it all hooked up correctly everything turned on but no sound at all what else could it be?

Depends on the type of OEM radio you had in the system before the replacement. Your car may have an auxiliary amplifier between the radio and the speakers, and if so, you may have to bypass it. In any case, have a look at the original wiring diagram (Alldatadiy.com will probably help) and check your wiring again.

Hi, I have an offbrand, dual 15"s, but they still work like the normal brand ones. The question is, why they give me feedback when the car is off and some Windows r open. It just sits there and hums

It sounds like your amp isn't shutting off. If its humming when the stereo is off, and the key is in the off position, make sure that you have the remote power wire coming off the amp hooked to the blue/white wire coming off the stereo harness(with aftermarket harness). If your using the stock stereo, it can be hooked to the switched 12+ wire ( lookup factory wiring here:
The Install Doctor The Do It Yourself Car Stereo Installation Resource... ) but the amp will only shut off with the key off, not when the stereo is off and the key is in the on position.

Im trying to install a Dual car stereo but i need a harness. Which one or how do i go about looking for one? Online? Walmart?

Walmart sells them, make sure that you get one specific for your car and use the color code it comes with to match the adapter to the dual stereo. Good luck

I hooked up a dual radio to my 1987 dodge ram the radio comes on but no sound and the dash lights went out

Sounds like you have the stereo ground wired into the wire that dims the light on the factory stereo when the headlights turn on. Rewire stereo with proper ground, check all other wiring to insure it's done properly, replace blown fuses for lights & stereo. Should be good to go.

Should i have any spare wires when hooking up an after market car stereo

Yes, It's a very good possibility that you will have a few wires left over. Normally a wire for an aftermarket amp to be triggered on when you turn your radio on and possibly a power antenna or a dimming function that dims your radio lights when your headlights are on. It of course always depends on if you have a power antenna or not, or if you have an aftermarket amp or not or if you have the dimming feature on your car or not. These wires don't apply to everyone.
You will just match the colors between the wiring harness that came with the DUAL radio and the interface adapter that goes to your car. Make sure you use **** style crimp connectors. If not the wires could come loose or cause a popping noise or cause the radio to turn off while driving.
Other than that, installing an aftermarket radio is mostly matching the colors up between the two harnesses and crimping the wires together.3_6_2012_2_31_36_am.jpg
