Find fuse on 2004 mount Vernon pellet stove - Cars & Trucks

Obviously there is a short somewhere in the unit. Unplug it, so you don't get a shock, and use an ammeter. Separate circuits if you can to find the shorted one.

I would replace the igniter.

What was the original problem and what motor was replaced? Draft? Auger? Or blower? Did you disconnect power while working on it?

The first thing to check is that it has power and that the thermostat is turned on/up.

Without knowing the brand/model# it is tough to give assistance but what I normally find on pellet stoves is a faulty control board. It may also have a fuse that is popped.

Try a 10 amp fuse, or a straight wire. The straight wire will cause a wisp of smoke that will reveal the problem.

Do you have a user's manual? Most pellet stoves need to be lit before starting the auger to sustain the fire.

Wood burning or pellet stoves create acid vapor. The vapor damages thermocouples faster than a gas stove.

We don't have the answer to that problem.

Did you get new key programmed? Disconnect battery cables for 15 min or so, then reconnect and turn key to "on" and let it sit like that for 10-15min.Turn key off and try to start
