Question about 2007 Kia Sportage 4x4 V6
Had a similar problem and took it to the dealer - it is a defect which is common to a range of Kia Sportage. Eventually, the engine will not start.
The manufacturer paid for an engine replacement.

Hi, had the same problem. I zeroed it down to two issues 1. when the fuel cap is not tightly fixed after visiting the gas station 2. when the car comes from the car wash, water will have entered into the exhaust. After driving the car for 2days after coming from the car wash the light disappeared. I now make sure they do not put any water in the exhaust.
Hope it helps.

If it will run, take it to your local Autozone and have them pull the trouble codes from your computer. This is free, and it will tell you what is making the light come on. Let me know if this helps :)
