You must remove both wiper arms, open hood and remove metal vent panel that runs the width of the vehicle. You will see where the arm has falling off ,replace all bushings(4).NAPA carries them.

WIPER MOTOR RUNS BUT WIPERS WONT MOVE

everyone will tell you that the linkage/transmission will need to be replaced but it doesn't,,most of the time its a bushing and O'Rielly's auto parts sells a "WIPER LINKAGE BUSHING ASSORTMENT" part# 49447 and it sells for about $5 bucks. Its fits tight and took a few minutes to install but its worth the trouble to save about $100

Left windshield wiper does not work, but right does work, how do you repair

Might also be the nylon bushing cap on the steel arm. These break and let the linkage separate, causing the affected arm to disconnect. Look for the AC Delco 19120840 Windshield Washer Transmission Kit on Amazon or ebay.

Wipers on my 1985 Dodge Ram Charger don'm move. they are at a up position. I could hear the wiper motor on.

this sounds like an arm poped off the linkage, see if you can move the wipers by hand if you can then linkage poped off, remove the cowl and look at the linkage you may need to replace the linkage some cars you can buy just one linkage arm instaed of the complete unit and also some part stores sell the plastic bushing to replace worn one on linkage and it just pops on,

The wiper on the drivers side does not work while the passenger side does on a 1985 olds cutlass supreme. How to repair it?

THE WIPER MOTOR CONTROLS THE WIPERS VIA A LINKAGE LOCATED BELOW THE WINDSHIELD UNDER THE HOOD YOU MAY NEED TO REMOVE A THE PLASTIC COVER TO ACESS THE ASSEMBLY , ONE OF THE LINKAGE ARMS HAS FALLEN OFF POSSIBLY DUE TO A WORN BUSHING ON THE END OF THE ARM ,JUST REPLACE THE BUSHING AND REATTACH IT

After replacing the wiper motor and linkage bushings on my Grand Voyager SE, the wiper arms stop in the straight up position when ''at rest''. Help please

Remove the arms, and place them back on where they need to go,do not turn the wipers on,do this as they set now.If the wiper blades when turned on go off the left side of the windshield ,then you will have to remove everything again, and move the wipers down in the rest position, and align everything up to the rest position, with the wipers at rest, and the motor at rest.

Wiper motor runs but the wipers will not move

Remove the arms and the cowl panel - you'll be able to see the whole linkage and probably a nylon bushing has worn out and popped off.

Wiper don.t work

Remove the wiper arms amd the panel between the hood and the windshield. There are teflon bushings on the actuater arms that wear out, they are cheap and available from the dealer but can be tricky to install because of the limited access.
