I am assuming you have a SPI motor. If so the IMRC(intake manifold runner control) is located on the drivers side if the intake manifold. It is an electromechanical actuator square/ rectangular and has an electrical connector on it.

There are 2 locations in your vehicle that have fuses in them. The description of the locations of those are below. Also below are diagrams of the fuse layouts for each as well as a description of what each fuse is for. This should all be in your owners manual if you have one. are the little plastic bushings still intact on the irmc linkage? the only thing about leaving alone is the light will stay on and you may not have the torque needed if passing or pulling or hauling a load.
