SOURCE: 1991 toyota camry automatic. Transmission is fine

sounds like you may not even have a 4th gear. worst thing is you may need a new transmission. try putting in some "Lucas Transmission Fix" it's like $12 at Autozone.. If that doesn't help, take it to a transmission shop and have them check inside your transmission to see if you need a new transmission or if it's something that could be fixed. It may even be a sensor.

Hi guys My toyota wish has same problem in changing gears. Any time i want to accelerate for more than 60km/h it it cant move to higher gear. and it cant accelerate properly on hill.

Byarugaba, If able to, have the transmission scanned for fault codes to help diagnose the problem. As Ryan W., stated would not hurt to have the filter and fluid changed, this would eliminate a possible filter clog issue. Could be caused by the shift solenoid being faulty or TPS (Throttle position sensor) needing to be replaced or possibly adjusted,etc.. Best to take to a Qualified transmission tech and have them check it out and give a quote on repair.
Check the attached links info.on shifting issues, Good luck.

I have a toyota corolla 4A engene it jerks wen lm in gear number 1,2,3,4,5, wen l put fuel pad l change the fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs bt nothing changed

Get the transmission properly diagnosed by a shop that tests the pressures in the transmission. They can tell you if it is clutch packs or which drums have bad seals. Or you have a bad planetary gears which cause clunking also. Double check the speedo gear it is made out of plastic and if worn the computer cannot tell what speed it should be shifting. Does the car still shift good with manual operation from gear to gear from you? If so the problem will be that speedo gear.

Toyota Vista SV50 model / year 1999: I have used Dextron type 2 automatic fluid in the auto transmission. Could this be the problem for auto gears sticking in same gear too long when car is started in...

Hi, since you use a dextron type 2 automatic fluid then it is not cause of the sticking gear. Rather it should be as a result of a clogged transmission filter. A clogged transmission filtercan cause problems with changing gears because it will not allow the fluid to pass through the valve body or valve solenoids at the proper pressure. Without pressure, the plates won't move properly and you won't be able to easily change gears. This can be symptomatic either by itself or along with burnt or worn out transmission fluid, and both should generally be replaced at the same time, rather than just replacing one or the other.

That is the tire pressure monitoring light. Simply air up your tires and it will turn off. If it comes back on then you may have a slow leak.
