Ldv maxus problems

Engine cuts out. can restart straight away than cuts out again as you drive away, some times after a few minutes other times after 20 minutes . will run idle without any problems.

it sounds like the cam sensor (also called "crank sensor") needs to be replaced. Mine has gone out twice &i t's common. In fact, Ford has a recall on this item. To do it yourself, it costs about $30 at a parts store & takes about 15 minutes to replace. Very easy!

if u checked the codes and it showed that a o2 sensor is bad make sure ur on the rite one as in {sensor 1 bank1 or sensor1 bank 2} when u change a sensor always make sure u got the rite one.

Most frequent causes of that condition are either the fuel pump or the crank position sensor. Both really need to be tested but if when you turn the key to the on position right after it stalls, you cannot hear the pump running in the fuel tank, it's a good bet that is your problem. When the pump is beginning to fail, it gets hot and binds. As soon as it cools down it will work normally. Generally the interval between when it starts back up and stalls again will get shorter and shorter as it gets worse. Pretty much the same thing can happen to cps. That does require testing with a digital ohmeter to validate failure BUT it may read as good if it isn't in a stall condition.

Help needed have a Ldv Maxus, put a new plastic grommet into clutch pedal today as the old one broke, now having trouble getting it into gear unless I pump the pedal Any Idears please.


Sounds like there is now air in the system. If there is a bleed nipple on the slave cylinder, bleed the clutch with new fluid. If not, it is a sealed system and both the master and slave must be replaced as a pair and ensure you follow the instructions otherwise you will get air in the system again.

Diesel engine runs then stops then runs stops every few minutes


Mate I use to drive a freightliner and it cut out on me one day, I eventually got it started but cut out again after about 5 minutes, I rang a mechanic to come out and he found a heat sensor wire came off the radiator and that caused the motor to cut out... Hope I haven't wasted your time.......

fuel filter clogged
is fuel pressure correct?
Loose wires in the ignition system
Check for codes

Its likely you have a problem with the clutchnot completly disengageing or problems with disk or pressure plate

Help!!! how to reset a LDV Maxus key fob?


Hi
I know from experience that you cannot really re synch these fobs on the LDV Maxus vans.
What actually is the fault is an onboard component on the pcb has failed and we normally just replace that with a new one..the fob will be tested for operation and sent back. OR its the Relay in the ESA unit - under the left hand front glovebox on the bulkhead - black with cables going into it. We have those relays (soldered to the pcb) we can supply those or do the work for you. The fob connects to that ESA and the unit then fires the relays to open/close the doors. Sometimes that unit is installed upside down which causes water (condensation) to enter the box and have fun with your electrics.
The fob is SYNCHED to this unit via coding we can use your old fob to clone to a new fob and that will work with the ESA and the vehicle.

We can fix most problems on the LDV Maxus that occur with faults to do with the Central locking/fobs/ESA/ETACS - three relays are in the ESA and they control ONLY the central locking - two more relays are in the ETACS unit (behind the ashtray) and they control the fogs and intermittant wipers.

When driving suddenly the engine cuts out.


I heave the same problem on my Corsa B 1.0 2000, engine cuts out, and whe it happens, I hear one of the relay under the right side of the dash buzzing. After a couple of minutes, starts like nothing happend.
So far I manage to find that the speed sensor is faulty, when I tap him the car stops. I order a brand new one, but I'm not sure that was the issue.
I order also a Opel Tech2 tester from ebay and it has to arrive next week, then I can see the error code.

Have you throttle control checked, also change your fuel filters you may have debris in your fuel tank and lies that is disrupting the fuel delivery to your engine. Possibly did not show up on test drive if not driven by you as different drivers, Drive differently.
