Replace the exhaust rubbers. it would probably be easiest to take it to a specialist but you can get the parts and do it yourself

It may be the rubbers or the moutings. They are both easy to replace.

Change head gasket on 65 mustang 200

Drain antifreeze -DON"T POUR IT DOWN A STORM DRAIN - then remove valve cover, Remove exhaust from head assembly. On this engine the head is also the intake manifold - it's cast as a unit. Remove carb and remove heater hoses from carb base plate. Remove head bolts and discard. Break head loose from block - may have to smack it a time or two to break gasket loose. Get a buddy to help lift the head off the block - it's fairly heavy. Clean gasket surfaces on both head and block. Install new gasket onto block - pay attention to gasket orientation - it goes on only one way correctly. Reverse procedure to re-install - USE NEW HEAD BOLTS! Silly to try to save $20 bucks on bolts and ruin an engine.

$500 is a bit high. The sensors are on the exhaust and basically they help your car exhale. If you continue driving on a bad one it will throw your exhaust, intake and finally engine off key...

They cost about $90 buck a piece if you dont shop around and you can ask a tech savvy neighbor to put them in for you. The website below should be of help.

Good driving.

I have a 65 mustang with a 200. The spring on the carburetor linkage that returns the gas pedal to ideal position is held by chicken wire attached to the exhaust. I was looking for a diagram of how the...

On my '65 w/200 cid, the return spring is indeed hooked to a flange on the exhaust. Seemed a bit wierd, but that's what I've seen on other 200cid Mustangs.

When I take off in first gear, my 98 mustang 3.8 makes a little rattle noise and then goes away. What is this and how can I fix it?

Most likely is a heat shield on the exhaust, get under the car and check the heat shields to see if one is broke loose.

Look for intake leaks. Look for correct idle mixture, and anything loose, in terms of hoses and entire intake system.

Also, be sure that you have the carb heater working. I have witnessed carb iceing at measured 68 degrees f. This system collects warmth from the exhaust manifild and pipes into the air filter intake.

My 94 ford mustang is making a scraping sound when

There are many things to try. Check your balljoints, shock towers and springs. Recheck how you hung the brake calipers. The hoses can go two ways, only 1 is correct.

If no luck look at motor mounts and check fan shroud for blade clearance. Check pulleys. Then move rearward to heat shields, exhaust pipe and gas tank. Then look at the frame.

Look for scrapes and shiny spots underneath the car and check the driveshaft for bad joints. Thats about all I have for you.

Exhaust is falling off the undercarriage of car, how to fix?

If the exhaust isn't leaking, but is falling down, you can get some exhaust pipe strap hangers at any autoparts store, and secure it back into a more stable condition. Hope this helped.

Exhaust Manifolds and Synchronizer & Sensor

You can drive the car nearly forever with these noise concerns, the trans noise which is the synchronizer ring may cause an issue in the long run, I have no clue what sensor they are talking about, but sensors don't make any noise, they are electronic parts.
