Check your fluid levels first. My Volkswagen overheating was due to a failed thermostat. From all the other owners I've talked to, the stock thermostat tends to fail pretty quickly

I asked my VW friend. He said that bulb was only intended to keep the headlight area slightly lit up in the event the main light burnt out.
Some sort of safety feature.

2007 vw rabbit yellow power steering light coming on


VW rabbit 2007 has electronic power steering so you have to send it for diagnostic testing on an ODB II tester. It is the only way you going to pick up that intermittent fault. one of your lights must be out.. check the sidemarkers on the bumper, or the tail lights. or maybe the small parking lights in the headlight.

It sounds like it could be a problem with the fuel pressure regulator. When the engine is cold, there is a cold start valve that dumps extra fuel to start a cold engine.
