Can i unplug the anti theft system in my 1992 saab and my car still start and run?

No you can't. You can bypass a key or module, But the ECM still needs a signal to start and run the car.

Hi Mark try spraying some starting fluid in the intake. You asked about putting petrol in the carburettor...your 1992 Saab has a carburettor? Impossible. That vehicle is fuel injected.Spray the starting fluid lightly or you'll flood the engine.

Where do i puchase spark plugs for my 1992 saab 9000 non turbo in lakeland,fl

Both Auto Zone and Advance Auto carry the plugs you need for your Saab....you can check on-line for the store nearest you...if they don't have them in stock they can order them for you and you can usually get them the same day. I have never had a problem ordering plugs for my 1997 Saab 900S nor for the 1997 Saab 9000 and 1999 Saab 900SE that I work on for friends.....hope this helps.

If you're not using the "Bentley Bible" aka the Saab 900 Official Service Manual, which costs about $40 from Amazon, you might have difficulty.

16 valve manual: http://www.amazon.com/Saab-900-Valve-Service-Manual/dp/0837603137

8 valve manual :http://www.amazon.com/Eight-Official-Service-Manual-1981-1988/dp/0837603102
get the appropriate manual for your car and enjoy the Saab!

Convertible top VERY slow going UP

HI, there may be some voltage issues here. i would make sure the wiring is OK and not separated or torn. Also, i would use a muti meter to check the voltage. the last issue could be a weak motor due to age. i would start by checking the wires and voltage.
