Question about Mitsubishi Diamante
I have a 2003 Diamante that when I put it in reverse, it feels like drive also engages and won't move. then i put it into drive and the car still won't move. When I put the car in neutral or drive, it settles like when you take it out of gear. What could it be?
Transmission is a possibility, check the transmission fluid, especially if its automatic. Get a color chart for the fluid to help you. if there are metal shavings, the fluid is flakey, looks metallic, glimmers, or leaves grainy texture then take it to a shop. (Just my advice, might not be the issue.)

Did you check the clutch reservoir under the hood mounted on the firewall, driver side? Make sure level is up where it should be. If it's real low, you may have to bleed the system to get the air out. If you need to add fluid, use brake fluid.
