Question about 2003 Ford Explorer
The simplest way to remove a flywheel is to use an impact gun. To re-tension the flywheel place a gear box bolt in a hole and use a large flat bladed screw driver in the teeth and under the bolt against the turn of the bolt. Some flywheels seem stuck on as they are positioned on a dowel so a hit on the front side will jar them loose.
