1989 dodge w-150 overheating does a/c compressor have anything to do with problem?

Running the A/C does create a greater cooling load. Your freon pulls heat out of the car in the evaporator core, and releases it in the condenser that is located infront of the radiator making the air passing thru the radiator pre-heated. The compressor also puts a load on the engine that will make more heat.

Radiator fans

I dont know what year model you have but the newer one will run when car is turned off to cool radiator. Maybe you have a radiator problem if this just started to happen. Is the car over heating. Did you check radiator fluid or thermostat. I dont know much about your car and year model but i would do these checks. Maybe radiator needs to be flushed. You can use aluminum brite for to flush. Can buy it at O Reiley's. I had to flush my daughters radiator about 10 times when we bought it used, fithy. Looks brand new. Please dispose of chemicals properly. It is an acid.

the a/c unit takes alot of power to run that means the enine have to work harder for that it will run hotter and use more fuel, and the a/c unit's condensser (radiator look alike) gets warmer too and it is infront of your radiator so your radiator does not get the cool air it needs. My solution is to check if all your fans work propperly while the a/c unit is on

When driving on road and the car engine become hot and it drive slow infront of trafic light the engine suddenly stop itself and shall re-start, I have send to workshop and nothing problems found, how to...

Your best bet is a clogged radiator. when your car is warmed up turn on the a/c and look under the hood to see if the fan is blowing hard. if it is replace the radiator. If you are car savvy you could put in a hi flow water pump, they are pretty cheap after market and easy to install.

Raidator fan wont come on ?

use a 12 volt test light to test for voltage at the fan motor. let it run at idle with a/c on. watch the temp guage. if you have trouble reaching high enough readings. put a piece of cardboard infront of the radiator.

When I turn on my 2004 toyota highlander air conditioner the fan on the motor sounds like it is running, where it has never done this before. what could be the cause?

When you turn on the AC pop the hood. If it has an electric cooling fan or an electric fan infront of the radiator and condensor then its normal for it to come on. Without air flowing through the core the AC will not blow cold air. You just may not have noticed it before, or the fan is wearing down and producing a bit more noise than before.

2001 Toyota Avalon overheating please help!!!!

Your radiator fan stopped working maybe a blown fuse bad relay or radiator fan switch. When you drive the car get air and cools down when you are in park the fan is supposed to provide the air if needed but its not working. However the fan itself could be burnt out and may need to be replaced. Good Luck

Auxiallry fans on radiator dont seem to come on. how do they work

Hi, They are controled by a thermo-fan switch, when coolant reaches a certain temperture fan switch turns on radiator fans and brings temperture back down. Thermo-Fan switch is located bottom of radiator.
