SOURCE: Volvo XC70, Grinding Noise

sounds like c/v axles (front drive shafts) they will make a clicking sound normally when turning sharp and accell at the same time at slow speeds / look at the axle boots and look for grease on the inside of the front wheels leaking out the axle boots

SOURCE: Creaking sound while turning steering wheel

There's a chance that the ball joints need grease. This should help, however once they have started to make noise like that due to lack of grease, they usually have gone bad. Replacement may be the only remedy. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Rear Suspension noise on 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8

Check sway bar. On some models as suspension sags, sway bar outer ends will contact the body, leaving a mark or dent just above the end, causing a bang over bumps. Only way to correct this is to change springs or add a spring lift.

SOURCE: 96 Golf 2.0GTI 8v knocking noise from rear when accelerating

its probably your bump stops. the vw ones are very soft. i bought ford escort (the shape after the xr3) ones and cut them a little down to fit. i think the noise is either your shock touching or the sound of the tire scraping the body of the car. hope this helps.

What is causing noise in front? It seems to be a pulsing shudder as you drive. does not appear to be brakes related. any thoughts? Drive train?

It maybe your idler arms. When was the last time you had a wheel alignment? I would take it in for an alignment diagnosis. Describe what you stated and have idler arms checked.

Why is the rear end making a whining noise

The whining noise could be for many reasons. Narrowing the possibilities depends on when the noise occurs. If it happens only while decelerating at any or all speeds is most likely caused by bad pinion bearings or loose pinion bearing preload. If it happens during acceleration over a small or large speed range is usually caused by worn ring and pinion gears.

One cheap thing to check is the fluid level in the differential. If low, topping off the lube may help for a while.

Starts fine and the engine will idle then it will die from idle try to accelerate and it seems like its out of fuel replaced feul filter no change friend says its the catyletic converter but it happened...

here are the converter symtoms: decreased low rpm power, engine runs a little hotter then normal at cruising speed, exhaust leaks near header, bucking or jerking during accelerating, cats exterior surface temp cooler near outlet. if you suspect the cat of being bad take it to a garage, to find out for sure if it is, have a good day !!

I have a grinding noise near the back drivers side wheel it comes and goes sometimes whilst driving and driving at low speeds it also happens when i go round corners. There is a burning smell near rear...

Sounds like a broken bearing. If your wheel is beginning to wobble it will make contact with the brake shoes and this will them very hot to the point of giving off a burning smell

Rhythim dull noise wshen accelerating

well,if it doesnt change with the wheel turned a little it might be a rear wheel bearing or even a couple of loose lugs on a wheel,or even a brake pad worn down to the rivets, can u give a better description of the noise? (metallic, dull thumping,etc...)

A heavy Ting noise when i engage gear.

It could possibly be the joints in the exhaust manifold. The body and engine may flex differently in reverse. Since the engine is cold as are the pipes, a gap in a exhaust flange gasket could transmit a noise until everything heats up.

the location and type of noise u hear is most likely coming from the electric blend door temperature control actuator.when they fail the ting gears inside make a clicking noise like this, the location you gave is dead on to where this part is located.

Try to align the cam shaft notches of corresponding pulley and set the tensional bolt back to same position, before removal of the belt, The alignment has to be perfect.Disruption of timing of firing other the engine. Higher the rev, the faulty the engine will not be able to take up the load....sodeep

Wheel bearing is the most likely cause. Prob a 1.5-2 hour labor rate job in the shop.
