There are 2 torx head screws on the inside trim piece where the door latches (right side) and one on the left and you will need to pry off the cougar logo on the handle and remove the screw. Now remove the two plastic covers off the lower, carpeted area of the inner door trim and remove the screws. I couldn't remove the left one so I ended pulling off with it attached which did not cause any harm for me. the trim then just 'pops' off the sides and bottom then you need to lift it up off clips on the top. Remove the insulating cover, which will probably just rip anyway. You will then see 3 large silver torx head screws which hold the motor on. I had to jostle the motor a very little to loosen it up after the years of being screwed on but it came of very easy. Good Luck!

My 1994 Camaro passager side window is off track, and it is NOT electic... How do I fix it???

Remove the rest arm, door handle and all the trim on the door panel. Pop out the plastic clips, working from the bottom rear, across the bottom, up the sides. Lift out the door panel. Unscrew the bolts or drill out the rivets holding the window crank. Move the assemly around inside the door to reset the rollers back into the track. Reverse the procedure.

Passenger window doesn't go up, it only goes down.

Unfortunately, this is a hit or miss problem with your generation of Taurus window motors. I am assuming it is Power windows. If it is not Power windows it could have come of track and/or hit a snag. To get a better look you will need to remove the door panel by the screws in the door handle,etc.. and clips around the frame of the door panel. Once removed, there will be a a few places to see what is actually happening when you try to roll the window up.. If it is power windows the true work is rolling UP the window,as gravity is what rolls it down. If you SEE the motor spinning but the window is stationary, you have a snag. If it isnt spinning you can get a new motor from a dealer or even a junkyard. If it is Manual windows.. You SHOULD HOPEFULLY see where and how the window is catching and not rolling up.. hope this helps and good luck!

Replace started

It is located on the right side of the motor. You have to remove the air filter box, and battery to get to it. You have to take it out from the top side. It's a tight fit but can be done without too much problems. I replaced mine twice. You have to work pretty much blind, and by feel. This will save you at least $100.00 in labor.

99 Cougar neither cruise controll nor Drivr windw switch working

I had same issue with the Window actually both driver & passenger side. I ended up replacing the switches NOT CHEAP! there are about $70.00 each from Ford Dealer. I recommended that you try switching
out the motor's from one door to other & test this way to make sure it's not the motor. If it's the motor you'll be lucky as it way cheaper.
I tested & replaced the switch my self & its not hard at all very simple & easy. The only hard part is finding all crews to remove door trim. You should search ebay for parts with luck you my find cheaper.
