Above each headlight assembly behind the radiator bulkhead there are two black "handles" that are for the latches that hold the headlights in place. Pull these handles up, and the headlight assembly should slide out the front. You can then replace the bulbs or, if you wish, the entire assembly. When done, just slide the assembly back in place and push the latch handles down. It should take about 5 minutes for each side.

I have no low beam headlights. already checked bulbs, fuses, relay and dimmer switch. can you help?

Before you replace the #46 HDM relay (in the fuse block under the hood) try exchanging it with the #45 cooling fan relay and see if your low beam lights work. If they do, the HDM relay (actually solid state module, not a relay) is bad.

Speedometer and rpm meter is not working, it shut down after 62,000 miles and now my front headlights just shut off and they wont come back on

The Instrument cluster needs to be replaced many trailblazers have this problem. Your local GM dealer will be able to send it out for a exchange unit..

It's possible GM may cover it as a extended warranty check with your dealer..

Change headlight

Julie.... fairly easy to do. the bulbs are changed from inside the engine compartment. you should be able to see the connector going into the back of the bazel (headlight). generally the connect has a ring on it that you have to turn or you may have to turn the socket to remove the bulb. be careful NOT to touch the replacement bulb with your fingers as it will shorten the life of the bulb. unfortunately if the bulb is on the side that the battery is on you may have to remove it to gain access... if it is i'll explain that to you as well... not that hard to do either.

Please take a moment to rate this solution thanks (trying to get my average up as we are basically all volunteers)
