Question about 1998 Ford Explorer
Rear hatch will not unlock. How do I get the internal plastics off while the hatch is closed? Could the actuator just be stuck? It sounds/feels like it is trying to unlock.
Have some one push down while you activate the lock as it may be stuck or under too much load from the sealing rubbers.

Easy, your rear blend door actuator is bad. buy one and install it! no problem. it's right on rear plenum, just pull trim off and panel out and sneak it in there.
