SOURCE: power seat on drivers side of 1996 buick park ave.

Chances are one of the motors has gone out. There are 3 motors for each of your power seats. One controls the forward/backward motion, one controls up/down/tilt, and the third controls the reclining seat back. In my '95 model, there is one fuse for the seats under the driver's side dashboard. There should be a diagram inside the fuse panel cover denoting which one controls the seats. Hope that helps!

SOURCE: 1996 Buick Park Avenue hood latch seized cannot

Most likely the CABLE is seized. Unless the latch is damaged , should be movable, Either on a lift, or by laying on your back, reach your arm up behind the front grille, and manually move the latch. Not hard to do. Hope this helps

How do you remove the back seat on a 1996 buick park avenue

for bottom seat you have to push on the lower part of seat about 4-6 inches from corner of seat.

try holding up on seat from bottom and use palm of hand to hit it until it comes up.

for top back of seat you have to take out bolts at bottom.

you will see them when you take out the bottom seat.

after you get bolts out you need to push up on the seat to get off the hangers in back.

don't forget to vote for me.

thanks

Need to find the module for the electric seat so I can move the seat back an fourth on the drivers side for my park avenue 1996 Can't find them at the dealers.

Have you check a salvage/junk yard.

You probably wont find a new one as GM stops alot of part support for vehicles after they are 10 years old.

on the drivers side under the dash there is a fuse panel. The fuse that controls the panel also controls the seats.
