Then your battery cant be completely dead... sounds like you have a relay problem, something is not turning off

SOURCE: Car wont start, contstant ticking from engine.

Locate the ticking noise. It is a relay that has gone bad.

SOURCE: Battry Dead need to open hood,Followed Manual for external 12 volt battry to Red pin on Fuse box Does not work ,WHERE is the Manual hood release for this car???

THERE IS A PLUG THAT CAN BE PURCHASED AT SOME AUTO PARTS STORES. IT HAS A DOUBLE-ENDED CIGARETTE LIGHTER PLUG. THIS CORD CAN BE USED TO BOOST A CAR'S BATTERY. IF YOU ARE GOOD AT SPLICING, YOU CAN PROBABLY MAKE ONE UP WITH A DECENT GAUGE WIRE. HOPE THIS SOLVES THE PROBLEM. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED, THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

I unplugged my battery and I can hear something ticking fast, when I pull out fuses under the hood (main fuses) noises change..

could be the solenoid on the starter motor clicking, or sometimes there is just enough battery power to put lights on but higher drain items just click on & off trying to cut in, test the battery output voltage should be at least 12v to start, a fully charged battery will be 13.5v, under 12v is no good.

2001 ford Taurus Battery going dead Car makes ticking noises Something's running when turned off

Check for lights that may be on. eg, glovebox light (sometimes the box warps with heat and no longer hits the switch). If it has one, a boot/ trunk light. a bonnet/ hood light. Otherwise, try testing the battery it may have a collapsed plate and is draining itself.

Battery died but when opened up to check battery there is a ticking sound

Yes one of the relays could be draining the battery.
I would open the fuse and relay boxes and try to find where the noise is coming from. If it is a relay, pull it out and see if the noise stops.
