SOURCE: is the right side frame

On the Neon there are 3 Motor mounts. 2 on the Passenger side, 1 upper and one lower. The upper is that arm that come off the frame and attaches to the center mounting plate. The Drivers Side has one that spans over to connect to the Transaxel. It is in the upper section under the Air Breather assembly and battery box/Fuse box area.

Where is the fuel filter and how do I replace it? Is there any tricks ? The car is a 1993 oldsmobile 98er

under car back by fuel tank along frame rail on the passenger side. its about 3.5" long and about 2" in diameter, with the fuel lines screwed into each end of the filter. its mounted to the frame rail by a bracket.

Fuel filter

Most newer vehicles have the fuel filter mounted on the inside of the frame rail, driver side, usually back of the driver seat or near the driver seat. Jack up and support the vehicle. Go underneath, and look for the metal tubes running along the inside of the frame rail. If the tubes go into the passenger compartment, your filter may be under the backseat, driver side - remove back seat and look for small door on the driver side. If under car, remove mounting bolt (s) first. Then wrap your wrists with rags to keep the fuel from running into your armpit ( man, that BURNS!!). Wear safety glasses, as a fuel injected motor has much higher pressure than a carburated motor and the spray can blind you. If under the seat, have plenty of rags handy to mop up the spilt fuel and protect you eyes as you release the pressure from the fuel tubes.
Hope this helps!!

Are there fuel filters in the canisters on the passenger side frame rail on a 87 dakota?

No, the fuel filter is under the hood, front passenger side of the motor. Look below the alternator. What you found on the frame is the "vapor canister", has to do with emissions.

2003 dodge neon motor mounts are causing vibration at accelerated speed

there is a motor mount that attaches frum the passenger side wheel to the tming cover. this is the mount that usually goes bad. you have to remove the wheel to see the torx bolt at the wheel well. than there are bolts on the other side of the wheel well. after you get those the ones at the motor have to be removed. you will have to place a jack under the oil pan use a piece of wood with the jack. you also have to take the top mount of first. thats pretty easy to replace.

I am having trouble with my speedometer not working occasionally and now my seat belt light is coming on sometimes too. Is this the instrument panel cluster? Or something else? 1998 Dodge Neon. Backstory is as follows: -We take very good care of it and have one dedicated mechanic. -It has only had two owners; my parents and I. -We replaced the battery 2 months ago. -Mechanic checked to make sure the speedometer sensor was working. -We have had issues with the radio for years where it will randomly turn on and off, typically brought on by a stuffed trunk OR wet weather. -The speedometer works until we hit a bump and then the needle flies up and down or sometimes just stops working all together. -Mechanic has made mention of there being some Chrysler specific battery cable that is a smaller side cable and it is not in good condition. -Currently, my problem is that I can't find an old 1998 Dodge Neon in the salvage yard because yards are doing a lot of 2002 and newer vehicles and automatically crushing the others. The meat and potatoes of my question is what direction do I go in? And what of these symptoms ties to each other? And will adding new solder to the points on the panel fix it or is it something else? I'm trying to find least expensive to most expensive options and I'm rather handy but can't drop an engine or transmission or anything so keep this in mind. My handiness ends at resoldering the pins BUT I do have a mechanic I trust, but I fear that maybe I'm not combining symptoms properly. I have the money to repair an item I KNOW is wrong but not to chicken hunt around for problems.
