SOURCE: I've got a bobcat tomcat. Bogs down and shuts off after about 2 mins, runs fine while idling. Changed hydraulic filter and fuel filter, swapped fuel line hydraulic lines, literally does not make sense

Might check the fuel pressure, might have a plugged screen in the pump inlet or a weak pump.

Got a pressure gauge on your hydraulics?
If you have pressure then that's what it is.

I took my bobcat post hole auger apart to service it and had to drain the hydraulic fluid! Now do I have to fill the auger head before connecting it to the machine? Or can the machine do it self?

if the hydraulic oil is from the auger head then the machine will fill and bleed out the air
the hydraulic oil would have been in the hydraulic motor that drives the auger

Code 2_17 on my bobcat 753 it says it's hydraulic implement filter plugged but it's running just fine. Should I change it and where's it located.

the hydraulic filter will be either in the top of the hydraulic oil tank or next to in as a spin on filter
you should change it if the code has come up

How do I replace hydraulic line from pump to right arm on my 96 753 bobcat

to replace hoses on hydraulic equipment you have to have all the parts in the relaxed position clean the area of the connections so that dirt will not get into the system.

that is the bucket on the ground, allowed to tilt forward

nothing can be held under hydraulic pressure

the engine should be shut off

use spanners to undo hose fittings (no hands)

ensure a safe work procedure and wear rubber gloves , eye ware ,face shield and keep hands away from connections ---oil under pressure can penetrate the skin and cause immediate death ---

once you have the hose disconnected replace it with a new hose

after fitting the new hose and tightening the fittings ,start the engine and cycle the hydraulics as this eliminates the air in the system

Hi. My bobcat skidsteer 641 has got hydraulic issues. We have just changed the oil cooler as the old one was wrecked, filled the hydro tank full of oil and ran machine for 20mins lifting the rams up and...

Did it run out of oil? if you ran the drive motors very long with no oil they are destroyed. Make sure the hyd. oil is still full. Usually the cylinders will act up first when oil is low. Try loosening the lines on drive motors to make sure there is no air in system, like an air locked injector.

for quite a few different motors you can buy strengthened conrods or if you are referring to hydraulic CLUTCH rod the clutch system might need changing as you are getting too much pressure in the clutch or brake hydraulic system

My bobcat 553 wont start unless i jump the starter and then the hydraulics still dont work

have a load test done on the battery to check for a dead cell. IF the battery is dead then there will not be enough current to work the electronic controlled hydraulic valves . I imagine this machine has joy sticks for controls and not linked levers to the valves.
