Small motor keeps running even with key off and removed

I have a 99 Ford Windstar and recently I noticed when I shut the car off and walk away a small motor of somekind contunies to run. It's not a cooling fan or anything under the hood! Any suggestions?

Sounds like a broken automatic seat belt. Very common on ford vehicles.

99 exsplorer motor wont shut off after removing keys

Your 1999 Silverado is equipped with an emergency fuel shift off within the fuel pump, but otherwise you will have to disconnect the battery to stop the fuel flow on your truck. If you are working on the fuel lines, you will have to plug one end to prevent fuel from leaking. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOW DO YOU TAKE OUT THE RADIO WITHOUT A WIRE HANGER OR RADIO TOOL

I generally can get away with a small, fine screwdriver, and push that into the radio's key release gaps down the side. You can basically get away with using anything metal, which fits down those key holes.

How to adjust TENSIONER pulley on 2002 ford windstar

2002 Windstar has a 3.8 litre engine, on this engine there is an automatic belt tensioner. The tensioner pulley is a the small one under the power steering pulley, yes, it's that small one way back there that is hard to get at. To remove the belt you would use a 15mm wrench on the belt tensioner pulley nut and rotate counterclockwise, when released it automatically tensions the belt, if you are hearing a squeal, look at the belt carefully and try to determine if it is running straight or one of the pulleys might be a little out of line causing the belt to lean away from its straight run. The problem here is usually the belt tensioner assembly is worn and needs replaced ( the whole assembly ) along with a new belt.

Steady thumping every couple seconds in the venting system

On my 2000 Windstar, I had this same problem. I replaced the vent door motor and the problem went away. It is roughly $40 from O'Reilly. The motor is a white box located behind the radio. Remove the radio, then remove the plastic trim piece around the radio and climate control. From there, you will be able to remove 4 8mm screws from the white motor. Unplug the electrical connection and remove the motor. To put it back together, do the reverse of these steps using a new motor.
