Question about 2000 Dodge Caravan
I have a 2000 dodge Caravan that won't start. I have a 3 small children and no vehicle at the moment. I really don't have the money to get it repaired and would like to try it my self, but don't know hardly anything with fixing them. But if it saves a little money then I'm all up for learning. So the problem is that when I try to start the van it justs clicks, not numerous times, just once. I tried to have it jumped and that didn't work. I put a new starter relay in and it worked for about a week or so and then I shut it off one day and went to start it five minutes later and it just clicked! I'm stuck I don't know what to do and I really need a car. So if any one could help me ASAP that would be really appreciated! Thank you! Brandi
Don't waste you money on a new starter. the part that is bad is the solenoid contacts. the parts are available at your local toyota dealer (yes Toyota). cost for the parts is under $10. I haven't found them at any parts store yet. probably because they can make more on the whole starter. www.natauto.com carries them for really cheap.

Sounds like a bad starter. You can probably change it yourself. New starter is about $80 to $120
