HVAC? the cab heater is dead or weak.?
1: does fan blow?
2; is heater lever to max.?
3: is mode lever at heat?
4: does engine reach and hold at 180F or more? no guess, this really is the first thing, (mechanics) that must work first.

no engine heat , gives you no cab heat. ever.

are you handy ,or just want wild guessing
if handy ,all ways it can fail are here.
the system is simple, its only a heat exhanger.
but is complex do to modes.
here is the list
a mech, knows its 3 reasons (pure physics)
1: engine not hot.
2: coolant not flowing in cab rad core.
3: air not flowing through cab core.
just 3 possible, in physics.

the tests are simple.

2002 dodge intrepid the heat blows but doesn't get hot! Had the thermostat replaced but still no heat. What would be the problem?

either a heat switch is not switching heat to the compartment or else the thermostat in the cooling system is defective. when it is not open it does not let hot water to the internal heating system, has your engine been overheating or running hot? also as this would be a symtom.

Heat gauge reads hot but engine is not hot.

There may be two heat or temp sensors, one for the gauge, and one for the computer. You could also have damaged insulation on the wire leading from the sensor to the gauge. You should be able to ground the wire on the engine, and the gauge should shoot to HOT very quickly, if the wire and gauge are good AND you are on the correct sensor.

disconnect the heat hoses going into fire wall , put hose into one with pressure and flush as it sounds like it could be bloked in the heater core, the other thing that could be the problem be the hot ,cold switch as it restricts the flow to makes the heater hoter or colder , it might need tlc or replacing as it is manaul not elec

Have a heat problem...I had no heat ,so I flushed out my heater core as only one hose was hot. After I flushed it out I had heat.I then turned off my car. When I went out again I had no heat again. Both hoses...

Do you have a heater control valve.mabpest_16.jpg
.the damper door may be closed on it not allowing hot water to the heater core.
You can go to my tips "heat troubleshooting" for more info.

No heat in2002 saturn replacedthermostat but still no heat seems like antifreeze not cicculating

Verify whether the two tubes at firewall are getting hot, or one or the other is cold, or both are cold.
If the tubes don't get hot, then you won't get heat. If they are getting hot and you don't have heat, it's likely that the blend door actuator is not working properly to get heat from the heater core to the interior of the vehicle.

1995 325i dont blow hot heat

Hot heat? What's that? Check the cold heat muffler bearings...it has redirected all the hot heat through the cold heat transducer thermostatic expansion valve.

VERY expensive.

Heating problem

If you changed the thermostat yourself and have noted that the lower radiator hose is cooler than the upper radiator hose, you may have installed the thermostat incorrectly or have purchased a faulty thermostat. A lower radiator hose that does not get hot (or as hot as the upper radiator hose) is a direct indication of a faulty thermostat. Please vote for this solution if you found this to be helpful.
