Question about 1992 Cadillac DeVille
92 cadi will not start from the ingnition switch but when i turn the switch on and crawl underneath and touch the solenoid it cranks right up can anybody help me with this one i've replaced the ingnition switch on the column and still get the same results.
SOUNDS LIKE THE NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH HAS FAILED. IF I RECALL CORRECTLY THERE IS A SWITCH LOCATED ON THE TOP OF THE STEERING COLUMN THAT IS ACTUATED BY A ROD ON THE KEY SWITCH. IT HAS TWO BOLTS HOLDING IT IN PLACE. IT ALSO HAS TWO MULTI-WIRE PLUGS FEEDING IT. TO ACCESS THIS YOU NEED TO UNBOLT THE COLUMN ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DASHBOARD. IT IS NOT THE EASIEST TO REACH. HOPE THIS HELPS. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA
