Cab size has no bearing on the transmissions in use . What is important is the bell housing bolts locations and the wiring harness for each unit . If they are the same then they should interchange. If both transmissions are mounted behind the same engine then it should be ok

1999 f150 4.6L 4r70w automatic transmission.truck will go in reverse goes into park and nutral but will no engage into drive. what is the problem?

Could be valve body problems, shift solenoid or the TCM. If all check out good then I'd overhaul the transmission.

You must replace the switch in the pillar that tells the computer that your door is ajar. Most likely a dealer part.

A leak

the only way to permanently fix that is to drain the block of all fluids and detach the battery, then weld the leak hole shut. You can try using a stop-leak product from your local auto parts store for a temporary fix.
